2011
“For unto us a Savior is born.” (Luke 2:11) These words changed everything for mankind. Indeed, the
Incarnation, the God the Son becoming flesh in Jesus Christ, is a pivotal moment for all of humankind. More importantly, it
is a pivotal moment for each person in particular.
Because God took upon himself our humanity, we can be raised from our sin to
share in His divine nature. Because He came to us, we can come to Him. If it were not for Christmas there would be no Easter.
If He had not been born into our world, we could never be born into His Kingdom. If He had not been born to us, He could have
never died for us.
As you enjoy family, open gifts and drink toasts to good times and a good year, don’t forget that His
coming made all this possible. Open your heart and let Him come in to live anew. Amid all the other celebration, celebrate
Christ. He has come! Everything has changed! He is making all things new! Let Him make a new you!
